The RF Explorer Spectrum Analyzer PLUS models can optionally extend frequency range for the expansion module, which is the RF SMA connector on the right-side. The left-side RF connector is not affected by wideband license options. Each licenses is permanent, locked to the specific device where it is enabled. These licenses require a Windows, Linux or MacOS computer with internet connection for activation.

The extension of 3000 MHz to the span is an excellent addition to increasing the overall functionality of your spectrum analyzer. For optimal use, please use a maximum of 1500 MHz on the device and the full 3000 MHz span with the PC software. An update is currently in the works to use the full span of 3000 MHz directly on the device as well.
