Smart Meters

Utility smart meters transmit strong bursts of RF radiation throughout the day, often in short but frequent intervals. Always detect first with the Latnex AF-5000 to identify transmission strength and surrounding exposure levels.

If the meter is mounted on an exterior wall, shield the interior wall directly behind it using EMF-shielding paint or fabric. For stronger protection, install a grounded shielding panel or an external smart meter cover to block emissions at the source.

For indoor areas close to the meter — such as bedrooms or living spaces — maintaining distance and adding layered shielding (paint, fabric, or grounded mesh) ensures a significant reduction in ambient RF exposure.
