Screening attenuation:
All stated attenuation values apply at 1 GHz. Measurement according to ASTM D4935-10 or IEEE Std 299-2006 or IEEE Std 1128-1998 or ASTM A698/A698M-07. You can find the test report under "Report screening attenuation".

Technically advanced shielding paint with a focus on maximum ecological compatibility. One paint for all interior applications where low emissions and certified safety are key.

Based on a hybrid binder system (potassium silicate + acrylic dispersion). Solvent-free with 0.0 g/L VOC, breathable (diffusion-open), and TÜV-certified as a low-emission, pollutant-tested, preservative-free product.

This paint is optimized for eco-friendly and healthy indoor environments:

  • Breathable and diffusion-open surface
  • Suitable for sensitive living environments

Due to its mineral content (potassium silicate), the paint has specific processing characteristics:

  • Excellent performance on absorbent substrates
  • Not suitable for gypsum-based substrates
  • Requires proper priming on absorbent surfaces

A two-layer application is recommended to achieve consistent and reliable shielding performance.

Screening attenuation:
Depending on application thickness and frequency range:

  • Thin coat (8 m²/l): approx. 35 dB (1 layer), approx. 44 dB (2 layers)
  • Thick coat (4 m²/l): approx. 44–53 dB (1 layer), approx. 53–78 dB (2 layers)

Regularly tested in EMC laboratories according to ASTM D4935-10 and IEEE Std 299-2006.


Common:
Our shielding paints offer electrically conductive coatings to reduce high-frequency electromagnetic fields and low-frequency electrical fields.


Coverage:
One-layer (4 – 8 m²/l), depending on substrate and application thickness.


Underground:
Interior: Good adhesion on absorbent substrates such as paint, drywall, wallpaper, plaster, concrete, wood, etc.

Important:
Not suitable for gypsum-based substrates due to potassium silicate content.


Top coating:
Preferably overcoated with high-quality water-based emulsion paints or dispersion silicate paints.
Due to the mineral content, compatibility should always be tested on a sample surface.


Grounding:
Must be grounded!
Large-area shielding must be integrated into the equipotential bonding system.
We recommend using original YSHIELD grounding components.


Ingredients:
Water, potassium silicate, natural graphite, carbon black, acrylic dispersion, additives.
No preservatives.
