EMF shielding paint is a conductive coating that turns a wall, ceiling or floor into a shielding surface. It is the usual choice when the source is outside the building — a cell tower, a neighbour's Wi-Fi, a rooftop antenna — because one or two coats on the exposed wall cut incoming radio frequency without changing how the room looks. Every shielding paint must be grounded to work safely and predictably.

Choosing a shielding paint

• Radio frequency / 5G (most homes) — WOREMOR RF-IE50, RF-IE50 PLUS, YSHIELD HSF54 or HSF64 for interior use.
• Maximum attenuation — YSHIELD MAX54, typically where a single coat has to do the work.
• Low-frequency electric fields (household wiring, bedroom walls) — NSF34.
• Low-VOC / ecological projects — ECO54.
• Testing first — the HF sample set or a 0.47 L / 1 L tin before committing to a whole room.

Grounding is not optional

An ungrounded conductive coating can behave like an antenna and raise electric-field readings instead of lowering them. Pair the paint with a grounding kit, grounding strap or grounding plate, and re-measure after grounding.

How much paint do you need?

Coverage depends on surface porosity and the number of coats, and bare plaster or drywall usually wants a primer first. Work out quantities, coats and grounding details in the shielding paint FAQs, and confirm the paint is the right answer by measuring first with an EMF meter or RF meter.
